Merry Christmas!

Christmas was a lot of fun this year.  I had a blast opening up gifts and spending time with my grandparents and aunts & uncles.  I was definitely spoiled!!!  My brother Davin and I both got lots of clothes and toys but my 2 favorite gifts are in the pictures below:

Santa Clause came early?

Santa Clause came to visit us early this year.  Not only did he come early, but he came in a much different way than I hear about in Christmas songs.  Mommy says Santa upgraded his ride to keep up with technology.  Well, I guess he's not totally keeping up with technology, but when he came to visit me yesterday he arrived in a helicopter.  Our friends Eric (who is a CHP - California Highway Patrol officer), Jennifer and Brody invited us to the CHP office to meet Santa early.  It was really fun to wave at Santa while he circled in the air and then landed in the helicopter.  When it was my turn I sat on Santa's lap and told him I wanted a "choo-choo" for Christmas.  He gave me my first candy cane and also a present with my name on it!  I was really surprised he knew my name!  (shhh....this is mom....we pre-wrapped a gift for him to recieve from Santa! ha!)  Here are some fun pictures from the event:

Oh, and mommy let me eat my first candy cane when we got home. Yum! See my sticky fingers?!

Lots of Snow!!!

We had a really big snow storm yesterday.  We woke up to a little snow on the ground and by the end of the day this is what it looked like at our house!
The front of our house
The back of our house
Our backyard
I haven't really ever had a chance to play in snow.  Although it was cold I really enjoyed playing in it.  Did you know that you can eat it?  (At least it was fresh and clean!!!!)  Once I found that out, that was all I really wanted to do!  Daddy had a really good time too.  Uncle Shawn decided to pull him behind the quad on his snowboard.  They rode around the neighborhood for awhile.  Boys will always be boys!

My 1st Haircut

I just had my first haircut!  Mommy and Daddy took me to Snip-Its.  They had toys, cartoons, and really fun things to look at there.  At first I wasn't too sure about what was going on, but since I got to sit in a fun seat, had my own T.V. to watch cartoons and got some cookies, I figured this couldn't be all bad!  I was really brave and didn't cry at all.  In fact, I kept telling mommy that it "Tick" (i.e. tickled) while they were cutting my hair.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was at Nana and Papa DeBernard's house in Phoenix.  We had a great time eating Turkey and hanging out with the family.  We went to Zoolights, the park and Papa even took me to my first Hockey game to see the Phoenix Coyotes!  I had a blast dancing to the music and of course eating popcorn!  My brother Davin was too little to go to the Hockey game so he had to go shopping all day with Mommy..... blah!

Davin's first Thanksgiving he pretty much just slept through!

Happy Halloween

Although my baby brother Davin was only a couple days old, Mommy and Daddy still took me out to the harvest festival at church on Halloween so I could dress up and play games.  I went as a pirate.  I loved using my sword and talking pirate.... "ARRRR"!

Here I am playing a game with Daddy.  Daddy dressed as a pirate also!
Leaving with my bag full of goodies!

A new baby brother

My new baby brother has arrived!   Davin Kyle Eckenroth is what mommy and daddy are calling him.  I'm not talking real well yet so I just call him "baby".  Davin weighed 7lbs 12 oz. and was 18-3/4 inches long.  Mommy says that was bigger than she expected (especially since I wasn't even 7lbs), but I still think that "baby" is pretty small.  He was born on Daddy's birthday - October 28th, so now we get to have a double celebration on that day!

It's Fall!

Well, it's finally beginning to feel like Fall.  The weather has turned a little bit cooler and we went up to Oak Glen to pick apples and pumpkins!  We had a blast.  It was our last little outing before my new baby brother arrives (which should be any day now).  There was a petting zoo, pony rides, yummy treats, and we even got to pick our own apples and make our own apple cider!  Here are a few pictures from our adventure:

San Diego

We had a lot of fun on our trip to the beach.  I loved playing in the sand and the water.  The waves didn't scare me a bit!  I'm fearless and loved to get knocked over by them!  (Which made mommy and daddy a little nervous)  We also got to spend a day at the San Diego Zoo.  My favorite animals were the monkeys.  They put on a really good show for us!

Mommy sure is looking Prego!

What I've been up to...

My summer has already been really busy.  I just graduated from my infant/toddler swim lessons!  It has been really fun going swimming with Mommy.  I learned to float on my back, blow bubbles in the water, do the doggie paddle, jump off the side of the pool to Mommy, and even go under water!  Here is a picture of me on my first day of swim lessons.

The 4th of July was fun also.... we went to Phoenix and I spent the weekend with my Nona and Papa while Mommy and Daddy spent time by themselves.  I fed the ducks at the park, went swimming, played on a slip-n-slide & saw a few fireworks (I fell asleep for most of them though).
