ABCs

I have been learning a lot in preschool these days. After only a few weeks I have begun to sing the alphabet song on my own! (a few letters are missing -- but pretty good for only 2 1/2!)

Davin is walking!

At 11.5 months Davin has finally started taking some steps on his own. Here is a short clip of his first steps!

Davin's Dedication

Davin was dedicated to the Lord on November 13th!  To celebrate the occasion, my Nana and Papa and Aunt Kendra and Uncle Robbie all came out from Phoenix.  It was awesome to have both sides of the family together!  Here are a few pics:

From Potty Trained to Preschool

It's a delayed post, but I'm proud to announce that I am completely potty trained!  At 2 years and 2 months I was out of diapers during the day, and at 2 years and 3 months I was out of diapers completely.....even at night!  Mommy and Daddy are really proud of me.  It is so much better to be able to go on my own now and Mommy really appreciates that she only has to change Davin's diapers now!
Here I am on the big boy potty!
My cool new "under-roos"
Since I'm potty trained, Mommy and Daddy have allowed me to go to Joshua Springs Christian Preschool for 2 half days a week.  At first I wasn't too sure about this whole "school" thing, but after my first day there I was crying because I had to leave.  I love my teacher and I've already made a lot of friends there.  Mommy is surprised with how much I've been learning in just one week!

Of course my backpack HAD to have a train on it!

I don't know mom.....still not sure about going to school by myself

The lunch box has a train too!  So cool!

Catching up!

Well, it has been awhile since any new pictures were posted so I'll do my best to catch you up on what has been happening in life.  August has been filled with many fun things.  We spent the beginning of the month at the beach with family and friends.  Davin and I had a blast playing in the sand and the water.  I was so brave that I was even diving underneath the waves with Daddy!  I'm definitely a water boy!

We also went to the San Diego zoo with the Reyes family.  Here are a few pictures from our trip:

A big event happened in our house this month also....Davin has started walking!  Well, kind of...he uses a push toy to walk around the house.  Mommy says it won't be long before he is chasing me around!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! We spent the weekend in Santa Monica. Mommy and Daddy had a wedding to go to so Nana and Papa came with us to babysit while they got away for the evening. We did see some fireworks from our hotel while Mommy and Daddy were at the wedding.....now my favorite saying is "boom boom" (thanks Nana and Papa!). We also had a great time down at the beach & the Santa Monica Pier!

Friends and Crawling

We have had a lot of fun this week playing with friends at the park.  The park across from our house has a water area that I love to splash and run in since it is so hot outside.  Here I am with my cousins (Lucy and Lydia) and friends Cayla-Ann and Caden B (have to call him that since our names are the same!).
Oh!  And something really exciting happened this week.....Davin started crawling!  He's been up on his hands  and knees for awhile, but just this week he is actually starting to move (rather than just rock).  Mommy has her work cut out for her now!!!!

Now that Davin is starting to pull up on things, we had to lower his crib so he won't fall out.  Here I am helping Daddy get the crib ready.

Happy Birthday Great-Grandpa!

We went to Phoenix last weekend to celebrate Great-Grandpa Schwieman's 85th birthday!  He is doing really great....even after 2 hip replacements!  We love you Great-Grandpa!

This time we went north

My last post was our trip to San Diego....this time we ventured up to Sacramento to see our dear friend Sunny and her family.  The drive took us about 10 hours in total (each way).  Davin and I both did really well on the trip.  We "enjoyed the ride" with books, new toys and occasional stops along the way to get out and play at a park.  While in Sacramento we went to Fairy Tale Town, Old Town Sacramento, a train museum, a BBQ with the Cobb family, and did some sight-seeing around the area.

Davin loved the grass!  We don't get to play in grass very often in the desert.

San Diego Trip

Last weekend we took a family trip to San Diego.  We had a lot of fun....so much fun that Mommy and Daddy were exhausted when we got home!  Our adventures included a harbor cruise, Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo and strawberry picking at Tanaka Farms on the way home.  Strawberry picking was exciting.  Tanaka Farms uses all organic process so there are no pesticides on their plants.  So, we were able to pick them and fill our baskets as well as our tummy!  I'll forever have a stained red sweatshirt as a souvenir from the fun we had!
