A day out with Thomas

One of the presents that I got from Mommy and Daddy for my 2nd birthday was tickets to spend a day with Thomas the Tank Engine!  So....this past weekend we finally got to go and use them!  We had a blast spending time together as a family.  I rode on a train that Thomas himself pulled, played at the imagination station (with trains of course), and walked through the downtown shops at the train station.

Daddy and I got a special treat after lunch.  Here we are showing our "red tongues"
Davin must have felt left out from the popsicles....so he decided to show us his tongue also!

The rest of the weekend we spent hanging out at the Ventura Harbor.  It was too cold to actually play at the beach, but we did walk the boardwalk and play at the Marina Park!

For lunch Mommy and Daddy ordered clams.  I got to taste my first clam....and I really liked it!

They really do love eachother!

Posted by mom....

Today Davin woke up from his nap crying.  I was in the middle of folding some laundry so I let him cry for a moment while I folded the remaining 2 shirts.  It wasn't long before I heard Davin laughing instead of crying!  Curious to see what was taking place I peeked around the corner.  To my surprise, I found Caden standing over his crib talking to him to calm him down!  When Caden saw me he said, "I making Davin happy....he crying."
You can't imagine the joy that brings me!

Here is Caden - standing on the rocking chair, peering down into the crip at Davin, face messy from the snack he left in the kitchen

To share or not to share...

Well, it happened.  The day that the little brother took toys away from the big brother.  Davin is now rolling to where he wants to go. When he saw my train set, he decided it looked like a lot more fun then his play mat.  So, Davin rolled over right onto my train set, demolishing the bridge and causing me to throw a fit.  Mommy says I need to share with my brother, but it's hard to do when he just rolls on top of what I'm playing with!  Here are some pics of the incident.
Davin is sure proud of his accomplishment!

Happy Easter!

He is risen!  We had a wonderful time celebrating the day our Savior rose from the grave!  Easter was spent with family at Grandma and Grandpa Eckenroth's house.  Some highlights of mine were opening our Easter baskets and going on an Easter egg hunt.

ABCs

One of my favorite things to do is play with magnets.  I have a full set of alphabet letters and a magnet board so Mommy and I practice letters and their sounds almost everyday.  I'm doing pretty good at recognizing my letters.  Here is short video clip of me practicing.  (Sorry about the wobbly video -- mommy was trying to tape and hold Davin at the same time).
